Originally serving as storage with grooms’ accommodation above, the coach house was converted into a private residence in the 1960s. This earlier conversion introduced bathrooms and a kitchen with flat roof extensions. The recent renovation involved removing the flat roofs and replacing them with new pitched roofs finished in clay tiles, restoring the building’s traditional aesthetic. A new entrance hall and staircase were created to improve the internal layout, while the kitchen was redesigned and reconstructed, featuring bespoke joinery crafted by the architect. The building’s fabric and windows were refurbished, with insulation added where possible to enhance energy efficiency.
