The project involved demolishing an existing flat-roofed extension and constructing a new two-storey addition using traditional materials, including brick and flint walls, a clay tiled roof, and bespoke timber joinery. The extension created a new dining and garden room, featuring a wood-burning stove and doors that open directly into the cottage garden. A new bedroom was added in the roof space of the extension, accessed via a newly created doorway at the top of the stairs, enhancing the cottage’s living space while respecting its historic fabric
