The Grade II listed house, once part of a larger country residence, dates back to the 17th century and was formerly the country home of a prime minister. The project involved converting an existing outbuilding to create a new kitchen and dining area, with doors opening to the courtyard garden. The roof space above this area was opened to add volume and light to the interior. Additionally, the flat-roofed garage was reimagined with a pitched roof and dormer windows, providing annex accommodation and improving the overall appearance of the courtyard. Clay tiles and lead barrel vault dormers were crafted to replicate those on the main house, ensuring the new additions blend seamlessly with the historic structure.
