Beech Avenue, Chichester

Extensions and alterations to a large 1930's detached house in Beech Avenue, Chichester. The brief for this project involved working in several different areas of the house in order to create the layout the client wanted. The house had been extended several times and the hall and staircase now seemed rather small. A new entrance hall and staircase was designed replicating the existing detailing, much of which was re-used (including the brick door arch and oak front door). An ensuite bathroom was added above the side entrance porch to serve a first floor bedroom. At the rear the two centre bedrooms were increased in size by building over an existing flat roof extension with a pitched roof and bay window detail.

A detached garden room was constructed as a games room and occasional annexe.
